Collective monograph “Uzbekistan during the Second World War” has been published
A collective monograph titled “Uzbekistan during the Second World War” has been published by the Coordinating and Methodological Center for the Contemporary History of Uzbekistan under the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
This monograph is dedicated to the scientific coverage of the history of Uzbekistan during the Second World War, the courage of our people at the front and in the rear, and their contribution to the Victory over fascism. It analyses such issues as the socio-economic, political and cultural life of the republic during the war years, the adaptation of industry and agriculture to wartime needs, changes in science, education and healthcare, material and spiritual assistance to the front, and the selflessness of soldiers and home-front workers.
