On July 27, 2022, Senior Researcher Vladimir Paramonov took part in an online format in an Expert Seminar organized by the Belarusian Institute for Strategic Studies. The theme of the seminar is "Actual issues of the current situation in Central Asia and the region of Afghanistan-Pakistan." Particular attention is paid to the analysis and forecast of processes in the center of Eurasia, including through the prism of the influence of key world players here. An important point of the discussion was the exchange of views on the special role and place of the states of Central Asia in the context of the emerging "Pivot to Asia" in the Republic of Belarus, as well as the initiative to join the SCO. The possible prospects for organizing joint project research work on topical issues of the development of international relations in Central Asia and the possibility of concluding an appropriate memorandum of cooperation were discussed separately.
