Special issues of the Indian journal Journal Himalayan and Central Asian Studies dedicated to Uzbekistan and Central Asia have been published

As part of the anniversary events of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, edited by prof. K.Variko (India) and prof. M. Rakhimov (Uzbekistan) published special issues of the Indian journal Journal Himalayan and Central Asian Studies dedicated to Uzbekistan (Journal Himalayan and Central Asian Studies. Vol. 27, Nos. 3-4, July-December 2023. Uzbekistan Special) and Central Asia (Journal Himalayan and Central Asian Studies. Vol. 28 No. 1-2. January-June 2024). The special issues were prepared within the framework of the fundamental project of the Center for Contemporary History of Uzbekistan and, on the basis of interdisciplinarity, reflect the analysis of such topics as historical processes and historical and cultural ties between India and Central Asia, interconnectedness, modern trends in democratization and economic reforms, migration and mobility, transport communication, foreign policy of Uzbekistan, relations of Central Asian countries with foreign countries, international and regional organizations, issues of stability in Central Asia and the factor of Afghanistan. Journal Himalayan and Central Asian Studies has been published since 1997 and is part of ProQuest products.
