Senior Researcher of the Coordination and Methodological Center for the Contemporary History of Uzbekistan at the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Doctor of Historical Sciences Burieva Khayriya Amanullaevna presented scientific material on the toponymy of Tashkent in the TV program named “Mavzu”. Based on the data of historical sources and researches of scientists, information about the etymology of the name of the city was presented. These materials serve to enrich the history of the capital, as well as the entire republic, contribute to the expansion of local history knowledge among the population and the upbringing of a patriotic spirit among the younger generation.
